Brandon is ideally situated in the centre of Western Manitoba and can provide a wide variety of landscapes, streetscapes, buildings and character for any number of film genres. The Economic Development Office is the point of contact for film scouting in Brandon. The office has many resources at our finger tips, ready to assist filming professionals with the following:

Contact information for related resources such as; media relations, sound and light equipment, funding sources, machinery rental and much more.

The Brandon community is rich with culture and talent. Brandon has a variety of educational performing arts and media production programs, a host of community theatre groups, several schools of dance and many cultural associations, thus augmenting the physical location with valuable and talented human resources.

The Economic Development Office is experienced in working with film scouts, location managers, production companies and Manitoba Film & Sound. The office was actively involved in the successful filming of a portion of "The Heaven Project" in 2007. We understand the need for timely information and are accustomed to the often strange, but specific requests that are the nature of the filming industry.
